Campbell River Senior Peer Counselling Program
Senior Peer Counselling is a program administered by our organization since October of 2008. Senior volunteers (55+) receive peer support training to provide emotional support to other seniors in our community. This service is FREE to all men and women 55+ in Campbell River. For information call the Senior Peer Counselling Program Coordinator at 250-830-4175 or call the Women's Centre at 250-287-3044.
This program receives funding from the United Way of Central-Northern Vancouver Island and partial funding through a Community Gaming Grant through the Province of British Columbia, as well as a huge amount of volunteer in-kind support and use of facilities through the Campbell River Recreation 50 + Program
OTHER PROGRAMS We offer short workshops on topics related to women's physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual
wellness. When funds allow we offer self-esteem, assertiveness, and life skills courses free or at very low cost.
